Fake Shark Attack Sign In Santa Cruz

That's one way to keep kooks out of the lineup…

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — Some said the competition for the perfect wave has hit a new low with someone faking a shark attack warning to keep surfers away.
Warning signs with the California State Parks logo were posted Wednesday night at Pleasure Point Beach near Santa Cruz warning people of a shark. At first glance the sign, which tells surfers to go to another beach, appears real.
The sign ends with “Surf Cowells instead.”
