Finisterre Manages Cold Water Soul’s Cover Shot

Cold Water Souls – Finisterre Ambassadors manage the cover shot.

Over the years, although small, Finisterre has managed some inspiring relationships with some of the surfing worlds most respected surfers, photographers and travellers.  Chris Nelson has been pushing his passions; writing, travelling and forging relationships with cold-water surfers globally.  "Occasionally, he drops by the workshop to talk story and pick up some pieces to product test when on adventure.  When he told us that he was going to put a book together, it only felt natural to get behind him as much as we could and when it comes product, designed to keep you dry and warm, it's what we do", remarked Ernest Capbert, Finisterre's Marketing Director.

'Cold Water Souls – in search of cold water surfing's new frontiers', is the new book by renowned British surf author – Chris Nelson. The book explores a range of cold water locales around the world, explores the unique individuals and communities that have developed around these remote shores, where surf development has not taken the usual route of mainstream tropical and warm water destinations.

To add to the excitement of the book launch was the cover of the book.  Finisterre Ambassadors, Ian Battrick and Tim Nunn managed to capture the cover shot, Ian Battrick on board and Tim Nunn behind the viewfinder. Ernest Capbert, marketing director at Finisterre was excited when the image landed on his desktop, with Ian splashed across the cover. "We were excited to see Ian pulling a solid hack on the cover with his polar haunts in the background. Chris Nelson is a great mate, and to see this book published featuring an area of surfing we've been behind since the beginning is important to us".

The book is out now and can be picked up below:
