Fall 2007’s hottest styles hit the runway twice during the ASR Runway Show, January 25th and 26th in San Diego
San Juan Capistrano, CA (January 8, 2007) — ASR’s high-energy runway provides the platform for action sports brands to showcase the hottest fall styles coming to juniors’ sportswear, accessories and footwear. The flirty, fast paced ASR Runway Show is a must for buyers hoping to discover new market trends and styles months before they hit racks. The ASR Runway Show, co-sponsored by Foam Magazine, goes in motion twice this January, Thursday the 25thand Friday the 26that 2:00PM.

Models from JetSet modeling agency will showcase a diverse mix of sportswear, swim and accessories hot off the ASR show floor. Runway shows at ASR are characterized by glitz, rockin’ music and glamour, but in addition they have also become an essential tool for buyers to trend forecast. The ASR Runway Show will feature a market overview comprised of over 100 lines from established and emerging surf, skate and youth culture brands. After the runway show, attendees can hit the ASR floor for a closer look at featured fashions and accessories.
The runway will highlight styling from action sports labels on trend with higher fashion brands with a retro-styled, ‘Back to Camp’ theme. The atmosphere featuring greenery and netting will compliment many of the leading action sports brands’ fall lines. Many of the lines are following camping girl inspired layering, thermals and plaids with hints of grunge styling. “Our favorite look for fall 07 is our grunge vibe that we have going across the entire collection. We were inspired by the looks and music of some of the early 90’s bands and of course Kurt Cobain with plaid grandpa bottoms and flannels, cardigan sweaters and sweater dresses, says Mandy Robinson, Senior Design Director for Billabong.
