Friday Forecast For Jan 12: Nor Cal

High pressure still dominates the North Pacific, so no major storm surf is headed towards the coast. There will be a slow start to the weekend, then solid N swell will arrive on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. Nothing huge, but best spots will be double overhead. A weak front moves through tonight, then conditions will be generally clean after that. Unfortunately, the swell dies off with the improving conditions and next week looks marginal at best. But hey- head high clean northern California is agreeable to 99% of the surfing population in that region- not everyone up there is into surfing 50′ cold sharky Mavericks like the media wants you to believe. Water temps are still 4/3 with booty material and the tides are 5′ at sunrise, 0′ after lunch, and medium at sunset.
