Mauli Ola To Kickoff East Coast Tour

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif., Aug. 22, 2012 – After an extremely successful few months on the west coast, the Mauli Ola Foundation (MOF) is taking it's 2012 Cool Dude Tour across the country. Three different tours will be happening simultaneously in order to maximize the MOF presence on the east coast.

The first tour will take place in Texas – starting with a Surf Experience Day in Galveston, followed by a string of hospital visits, and ending with a fundraiser at The Press Box on Saturday, August 25th. Pro surfers Shawn "Barney" Barron and Morgan Faulkner along with MMA fighter Brian Ortega will be accompanying the MOF team for the Texas stop.

Pro surfers Kala Alexander and Jason Magallanes with MMA fighter Nissen Osterneck will be joining the second tour, which is taking place in Florida and North Carolina. Some of the stops include Cocoa Beach, Orlando, and Chapel Hill.

The third tour will take place in the northeast with events in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania. Pro surfers Kalani Robb, CJ Kahuna, Torrey Meister, and Kealii Mamala will be accompanying the MOF team for this trip. In addition to the hospital visits and Surf Experience Days, MOF was chosen as the official charity for two big events during this particular tour. The first event, the 2nd Annual Nor'eastern Crossfit Throw Down hosted by Bonfire Health, will take place August 26th at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire. The second event, the Bud Light Lime Surf Series, will take place the weekend of August 31st at Nags Head in North Carolina. The Surf Series will be the final event for the MOF east coast tour.

Some of the sponsors for the tour include Flexfix, Etnies, Skull Candy, Smoothie King, and many more. Morgan Faulker Texas Surf Camps; Todd and Lauren Holland School of Surf; Jack Viorel Indojax Surf School; and Dave Copper Cinnamon Rainbow Surf Shop will be providing boards and volunteers at the Surf Experience Days along the way.
