Pro Surfer/Entrepreneur Toby Ogden Calls No Fear Home

After roaming and combing the highways, byways and beaches of coastal America the past few years as a hired gun for a number of companies involved in the surf industry, Toby Ogden has decided to put stakes in the ground and will now work exclusively for No Fear. A former No Fear team rider who eventually became the No Fear team manager, Ogden will now act as the Carlsbad, California-based firm’s Athlete and Promotions Manager.

“Three years ago, when our brand was reemerging in the surf market, it was acceptable for Toby to work for two or more companies, said No Fear Vice President/Marketing Director Britt Galland. “As of late, we’ve experienced a lot of growth and success in the surf market and Toby is too important and valuable to our cause to be working for anyone else. We have big plans and aspiration for the future, in both the short and long term, and Toby is certainly an integral part of the execution of our master plan.

A surfer, as well as a published surf photographer, Ogden will now assume additional responsibilities as he addresses new marketing, promotional and event-driven initiatives.

“After working for three or four companies at the same time during the last four or five years, it’s always been in the back of my mind that I wanted to establish myself to a point where I felt worthy enough to devote myself to one company. Of all the companies I’ve been associated with, I’ve been with No Fear the longest. When Britt Galland asked me if I’d be interested in working with No Fear on a full-time basis, I gave him my answer immediately. When I first started with No Fear the company was looking to reestablish itself in the surfing. During the past couple of years, No Fear has been making all the right moves. Not only for the company, but for the sport in general. There’s so many good things going on here right now. I’m excited to be a part of the continued success of No Fear, both now and in the future.
