(Huntington Beach, CA) April 9, 2006 — Quiksilver, a division of Quiksilver Inc. (www.quiksilver.com) and the world’s leader in boardriding lifestyle and culture, announces the Quiksilver Revolution Tour; a spectacular and progressive surf, skate, and music extravaganza to be held in South-East Asia. The first stop of the tour and the main event will be at the Sunway Lagoon in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Saturday, April 22, 2006. Members of Quiksilver’s elite global surf and skateboarding teams will be joined by international bands and more than 50,000 fans for a true celebration of youth culture.

Sunway Lagoon, one of the world’s most unique entertainment venues, is home to the largest man-made surf beach in the world. At a huge 18,000 square feet, the surf pool at Sunway Lagoon is capable of churning out perfectly shaped waves. 6,000 tons of sand, palm trees and huts surround the surf pool creating a tropical beach oasis to complement the ideal surf conditions.

Quiksilver is adding a massive skate park built specifically for the event to showcase the talents of Quiksilver’s professional skateboarders. The main attraction in the surf pool will be three of Quiksilver’s Young Guns and the world’s greatest aerial specialists, American surfing prodigy Dane Reynolds, and renowned Australians Ry Craike and Julian Wilson. The three surfers will go head-to-head in the pool after being whipped into waves with the aid of 1200cc jet skis.

“I heard the place is amazing and there’s a really good crew going so I would expect to see some heavy shredding from all the boys, said Reynolds. “I hope the locals are excited to see some big punts!”

“This is a revolutionary exhibition of the exhilaration, innovation, and expressiveness of the boardriding lifestyle, said Todd Kline, Quiksilver International Marketing Manager. “And this emerging region of the world is just beginning to experience the lifestyle that our brand and athletes represent!

The second stop on the Quiksilver Revolution Tour will be held on Sentosa Island, Singapore; details and dates will be released soon.

Admission to both events will be open to the public and free of charge. And as part of a partnership entered into by MTV Asia and Quiksilver, the entire celebration will be broadcast as a half-hour special, premiering in May. This will air in six regions via MTV Asia’s extensive network – the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and Indonesia.
