August 19, 2008: – – Atlantic City — Red Bull Night Riders lit up the beach, bringing top east coast surfers out for an extreme ‘tow-at’ event last Friday night in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The unpredictable weather and surf didn't stop the massive crowds from coming down to watch the action.

The 14 teams of two pulled out all the tricks, astonishing the crowd with huge airs and crazy maneuvers.  It was a close competition, but Raven Lundy and Lucas Rogers took the win as they pushed new limits of big air riding.

Red Bull Night Riders is a competitive surfing experience for 28 east coast surfers under a very unique circumstance – being towed into a wave at night. Surfers form their own teams of two, which included one jet-ski driver and one surfer being towed. Each surfer on the team of two gets two "tow-ats" for their chance to get the biggest air and turn the best trick.

Teams competed in three different categories for a chance to win an overall prize purse of $5,000.

Other Superlatives included:
Best Trick – Lucas Rogers
Best Amplitude – Randy Townsend
Best Gouge – Mike Gleason
