The Inaugural Globe WCT Fiji Kicks Off This Sunday

Tavarua and Namotu Fiji — “home of the legendary Cloudbreak and the super fast Restaurants. There wouldn’t be a surfer in the world who hasn’t dreamed of this tropical paradise. And now, for the first time, Globe International brings the event to the surfing world.

The Globe WCT Fiji will be an event like no other. Event Director, Steve Robertson said “Cloudbreak is just awesome. Well known as one of the sickest waves on the planet and with Globe’s big event experience, the hottest 48 surfers in the world, and the dream location, it’s all going to happen.

“Once again the locals have embraced the event and we are super stoked seeing some of the best Fijian talent this week shooting it out in an expression session format to see who goes through to the trials later today. With the way these guys are surfing, there is going to be more than one pro looking over his shoulder in the next few days.”

Coming to a laptop near you on and featuring the best 48 surfers in the world, will be webcast live via and each day with multiple camera angles including water and aerial shots, highlights and replays, weather and scoring information, direct viewer interaction, celebrity guests, interviews and more are all part of the daily webcast program. Also check out the daily wrap program at 8.30 pm Fijian time (6.30 pm Australian east coast) each night starting this Sunday.
