Voting is open for this year’s SURFER Awards

The biggest night in surfing is set to return to the North Shore of Oahu yet again on Dec. 6 this year. That’s right, the SURFER Awards are coming and that means it’s time for you to wield the power of the mighty pen (err, rather click these days) and vote for your favorite male and female surfers.

Voting opened up earlier this month and you should most definitely participate.

While nominees for the other categories have yet to be named (got a film you want to submit?), the tradition of SURFER calling upon readers to name the top surfers in the world goes long back.

As current Editor of SURFER Todd Prodanovich noted, “One thing that hasn’t changed in 50 years is who picks the winners of the reader poll, and the importance that carries. Even among much-loved categories like Best Barrel and Movie of the Year, a SURFER Poll win remains the most prestigious achievement at the SURFER Awards.”

So be a part of the SURFER Awards tradition and help determine who gets to walk home on Dec. 6 as the top surfers in the world.
