Agenda’s Aaron Levant on Assembly conference in Vegas; what’s in store for 2018

Building on the success of its original speaker series, Agenda Emerge, Founder Aaron Levant has teamed up with tradeshow partners in Vegas to launch the Assembly Conference early next year.

Assembly will pool a diverse mix of speakers from action sports, fashion and other outside industries that share relevant experience in the creative space, to lend their insights and learnings, Levant said in an interview with TransWorld Business.

“We are excited about what it can become,” said Levant of the new element. “It’s something new and different within the trade show model, which has sometimes felt like it’s becoming stale or like Groundhog day. We hope that this allows people to walk away with something to inspire them, some new knowledge and energy.”

“The standard show format has run its course," Levant stated.

Assembly will be held February 12-14, 2018, in conjunction with Agenda’s trade show partners Capsule and Liberty, and will feature keynote talks, workshops on the most important issues facing the industry, and networking cocktail hour and after-parties. A lineup of speakers is expected to be announced mid-December 2017.

"Facilitating deeper connections and inspiring our market is crucial to us as tradeshow producers," adds Sam Ben-Avraham, founder of Liberty Fairs. "We have always been ahead of the curve in this industry and we're excited to deliver added value with Assembly."

In addition to the Assembly roll out, Agenda will also be recognizing 15 years as a trade show in 2018 — a milestone that Levant and team are looking forward to celebrating.

Along side the accomplishment, the show is going into the new year with momentum from this summer’s debut of Agenda Festival, which drew a crowd of 15k action sports, streetwear and music enthusiasts. The team will soon be adding an even bigger announcement to the list in that space before the end of the year, according to Levant.

“We will always come back to the trade portion of the show, it’s very important, but we are positioning ourselves for the long-term with the consumer element,” Levant said. “Our whole crew is excited to be changing that landscape and morphing into something completely new and different.”
