Show Director Vanessa Chiu On New Location, Brands, & Activations
In what has arguably become one of the most competitive and influential times to be a women’s specific brand, we look to this market to shape many of the up-and-coming trends present today. AXIS Show has honed in on this intersection perfectly, as Show Director Vanessa Chiu puts it: “We’ve continued building out what we consider lifestyle categories, sitting in the realm of fashion lifestyle, active lifestyle, and beauty.”

At the third installment of AXIS in NYC this week, the most noticeable change is probably its new location, at Pier 92. But the crew is also excited about a couple more big additions. Style maker and Friend of a Friend editor-in-chief Oliva Perez has joined the AXIS Collective, and will be curating an “editorial favorites” section dubbed “THE SELECTS” by Friend of a Friend during the three day show. With Friend of a Friend, Perez has created a lifestyle publication, cultivating community and discovering hidden gems—an ethos that succinctly aligns with AXIS’s purpose.
