Seeking to find the best amateur skaters and BMX riders across the country this summer, the Gatorade Free Flow Tour today announced the start of the Transworld Video Submission Contest. A partnership between the Gatorade Free Flow Tour and the Transworld Media group that includes Transworld Skateboarding and Ride BMX, the video submission contest will give up to five skateboarders and five BMX riders wildcard entry into the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals.
The Transworld Video Submission Contest will run from now until August 31 and will accept videos from amateur park and vert skaters between the ages of 13 and 18 and amateur park and vert BMX riders between 13 and 21. For complete rules and regulations as well as to enter videos for consideration, potential entrants can go to gatoradefreeflowtour.transworld.net.
Each video submitted in the contest must be an original creation under two minutes in length. Judging for the Transworld Video Submission Contest will take part in two phases. Phase 1 will take place during the submission period, during which time the public can cast one vote per day per category for their favorite videos. In Phase 2, judges from Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports and Transworld will evaluate all submitted videos based on technical ability, consistency, difficulty of tricks landed and other factors. When voting from both Phase 1 and 2 has been tabulated and compiled, up to five skateboarders and five BMX riders will be named winners of the contest.
The winners of the Transworld Video Submission Contest will be announced on September 8, 2009, and each winner will be awarded wildcard entry into the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals, taking place Sept. 17-20 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
