To kick off the three-day Global Surf Industries Noosa Festival of Surfing, held in Noosa, Queensland, legends Hayden Kenny and Bob McTavish had their foot prints set in concrete Monday, March 3, as the first Noosa Walk of Fame inductees, according to a press release issued Tuesday, March 4, by Surf Industries.
The opening ceremony featured a ceremonial Hawaiian mixing of the waters and a paddle out lead by Hawaiian waterman Brian Keaulana. With over a hundred people participating in the paddle out it was quite a spectacle. A crowd of more than 400 people were on the beach to watch the opening ceremony.
