What are the biggest forces shaping the changes and developments you've made to your boards?
Nature, Physics, and Mervin's environMENTAL and experiMENTAL Division's ever evolving, ever expanding knowledge of these subjects as they apply to snowboarding.
To what degree are you emphasizing camber shape and core profiles in your lineup?
Mervin introduced Banana Technology to snowboarding; Rocker between your feet blended with flat-to-mild camber to contact points. Banana between your feet makes turning easy, provides great edge hold on ice, unreal float, and catch-free freestyle. We have since introduced and will continue to innovate with postmodern Banana Technologies, most recently working with Jamie Lynn, Blair Habenicht, Leach and a few other riders to build our newest C3, Camber Dominant, Submissive Banana shapes.
Are you cooking up any new materials or construction techniques?
Postmodern Bananas marinated in a Horsepower, Basalt glaze. Pickled Asymmetries, with a hint of Magnesium.
What themes are you seeing for graphics?
Mervin artists are expressing whatever is in their minds, and we put it on our boards. If their minds are tuned into some sort of collective conscious theme – we do not know. We just like what they do.
