Industry Veteran Rob Perlman Takes Position As Steamboat’s Vice President Of Sales & Marketing

Steamboat Springs, CO – Rob Perlman, chief executive officer of Colorado's ski trade association, Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA), has accepted the position of vice president of sales and marketing for Intrawest's Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation.

"Having worked with Rob at Colorado Ski Country, we knew that only a veteran with a diversity of mountain resort experience could take us to the next level," said Chris Diamond, president and chief operating officer of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation. Rob's track record is one of achievement and we welcome him to Steamboat and back to Intrawest."

In his new role, Perlman will be a member of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's executive leadership team and will be directly responsible for development and management of Steamboat's sales and marketing efforts including oversight of strategic plans, brand management, advertising, promotions, direct/database marketing, international and domestic sales, web/online marketing, Steamboat Central Reservations®, strategic partnerships, and public relations. In addition, Perlman will work closely with Andy Wirth in continuing the growth of the Steamboat brand as the nation's family-friendly resort with its world-famous Champagne Powder® snow and authentic western hospitality.

While at Colorado Ski Country USA, Perlman served as the ski industry representative on the Colorado Tourism Office Board and currently serves as Chairman. He also is a board member of the Denver Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau, a Trustee of the Colorado Conservation Trust and held a position on Denver International Airport's Vision Design Team.

Along with his various positions in the Colorado tourism arena, Perlman's tenure in the ski industry has included leadership roles at Winter Park Resort, Vail Associates and Mammoth Mountain in California, where he developed and implemented progressive and comprehensive marketing and sales programs.

An alumnus of the University of Arizona, Perlman grew up in Evergreen, Colorado. He will be moving to Steamboat in early July with his wife, Erin, and their two daughters, Amanda, 8 and Morgan, 6.
