Industry Veterans Invest In New Sourcing Company

Veteran apparel sourcing and supply chain technology executives Carlos Arias, Kurt Cavano and Walter Wilhelm have invested in a new sourcing company, RegionaLink LLC, which is geared to provide sourcing services for companies seeking new production capabilities. According to the press release:


GUATEMALA CITY, GUATEMALA June 1, 2011 RegionaLink LLC announced today strategic investments by three veteran apparel sourcing and supply chain technology executives, Carlos Arias, Kurt Cavano and Walter Wilhelm in this new sourcing services company. Five additional industry executives have committed to invest in the company positioned to fill the sourcing void in the CAFTA/DR.

According to Managing Director Alejandro Arias, “Many companies are looking to bring production back to the Americas but need help. RegionaLink will help potential buyers identify factories that have the skills, particular product experience, production capacity, technology and financial strength to deliver reliably and consistently.” Arias added, “We will assist with the early process to establish the relationship and with necessary local project management (on both ends of the supply chain) to guarantee success of the new relationships and reliable delivery of sourced goods.”

Alejandro Arias, Managing Director, has an MBA and a BS in Industrial Management and more than a decade of experience in the apparel industry, including five years with Target as Production Services Manager in their Regional Sourcing Office in Guatemala.
