Americans are turning to online shopping on their mobile devices, and PayPal has the numbers to prove it. According to a report in SportsOneSource.com, PayPal clocked a record-breaking 511 percent increase in mobile payments on Thanksgiving Day compared to last year. According to PayPal’s company blog, the number of customers making mobile payments increased by 350 percent. According to PayPal, the highest generated mobile payments occurred in the major US cities: New York City, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami and Chicago.
It’s been said that by the end of 2011, over half of Americans will religiously rely on their Smartphones. Apparently, the trend has already proven right.
