Park City’s New Quicksilver Gondola Completes One Third of ONE Wasatch

ONE Wasatch, the dream of combing in sic resorts into the largest ski experience in the country, is one step closer to becoming a reality

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – On December 18, 2015 Park City officially connected the former Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Resort with the new Quicksilver Gondola to make the largest resort in the country, Park City. Not only is this a monumental moment for Utah's ski industry, but also one third of the way to completing ONE Wasatch. With the addition of the Quicksilver Gondola, the dream of turning six resorts into the largest continuous ski experience in North America with 18,000 skiable acres is one step closer to a ONE Wasatch reality.

"The Quicksilver Gondola and the connecting of the two resorts is a huge moment in Utah's ski history," says CEO/President of Ski Utah Nathan Rafferty. "It will be exciting to watch the future of the Wasatch Mountains unfold."

The Wasatch Mountains are grand, iconic and drenched in a rich abundance of The Greatest Snow on Earth®. They are also geographically compact, allowing six Utah resorts to coexist as literal neighbors, often separated by just a single ridge – some by just a rope line. What is left to make the ONE Wasatch concept a reality is:

1.    Connect Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons

2.    Connect Big Cottonwood Canyon to Park City

3.    Drop the rope between Deer Valley and Park City.

Utah's ski industry sees ONE Wasatch as a series of logical steps that, when complete, will make available an entirely new ski and snowboard experience to Utah. For more information on ONE Wasatch please visit:
