Steven Hill Named Interim CEO Of Canada Snowboard

Canada Snowboard has named Steven Hill as interim chief executive after the resignation of Tom McIllfaterick was announced last month, according to CBC Sports Canada. The Canadian Snowboard Federation is the national governing body for competitive snowboarding, which was founded in 1991 and is based in Vancouver. The search for a new CEO will begin shortly, according to Canada Snowboard Board of Directors chairperson Michael Gray:

“We took the decision to hire on an interim basis as we need time to regroup, consult and ensure that we find the right person for this important position…We have narrowed down our selection to a candidate that we feel will best represent the interests of our cherished sport,” Gray said.

Prior to the Canada Snowboard job, Hills worked as vice-president of business operations for Canada Sport Centre Pacific, an organization that helps foster elite athletes, where he developed and implemented a new strategic plan and supervised operations.
