About The Surfrider Foundation
The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world's oceans, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network. Founded in 1984 by a handful of visionary surfers in Malibu, California; The Surfrider Foundation now maintains over 550,000 supporters, activists, members, volunteers with over 150 chapters world wide and 350 national and international law changing victories.
Just over 30 years ago, a handful of surfers made a powerful statement by founding the Surfrider Foundation. The waves they surfed in Malibu, California were threatened by development and pollution. They wanted to protect what they loved, so they organized a group to protest the threats to their local surf break. They took action. Not even they could have envisioned the history they were making when they succeeded in protecting their beloved surf spot. www.surfrider.org

About Kassia Meador
Free-spirited pro long boarder, lifestyle photographer, entrepreneur from Malibu, California; ranked 2nd on the 2011 ASP Women’s Longboard Tour, and named the New York Times as the “queen of noseriding.” Meador was born in 1992 in landlocked Westlake Village, an affluent suburb nine miles inland from Malibu, and didn’t start surfing until the age of 14. Two years later the silky-smooth goofy foot won the Roxy Wahine Classic — the first surf contest she ever entered and inked a sponsorship deal with Roxy. Paving the way for her future role as the carefree, sun-kissed, flawless-cheekboned face of the Roxy surfwear empire. Fast forward to 2016 she has engulfed her life into photography, countless adventures and collaborations with such brands as Stance, Roxy, and now her very own company Kassiasurf. Which she has developed a line of wet suits that are structurally advance from the competition for free movement and as stylish and unique as Kassia Meador can only be.
