Vision Street Wear To Relaunch At Finish Line

After hearing rumblings last summer that Vision was planning a comeback, it looks like it will be official this August when Vision Street Wear shoes will race into the Finish Line.

Collective Licensing International (CLI), whose brand portfolio includes Vision Street Wear, Sims, Airwalk, Dukes, and Lamar to name a few, teamed up with Vision Street Wear’s licensee, Intersport North America (INA), to relaunch the brand in time for back to school.

According to the release:

Celebrating three decades as a pioneer of street wear culture, Vision Street Wear will present its eagerly anticipated Back To School footwear collection containing modern street wear designs and legendary silhouettes from the historical archives.

"Finish Line is always looking for fresh and innovative brands that will resonate with our customers, and once we saw the direction and design that INA and CLI put together, we wanted to act upon it in a big way," said Sam Sato, Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandise Officer at Finish Line.

INA signed a licensing agreement with CLI in August 2008 for the Vision Street Wear brand covering the North, Central and South America territories. "Clearly we are thrilled to have such a fine retailer as Finish Line on board. We are equally excited about the reception from the independent sneaker boutiques and fashion retailers within the rest of our territory," said Jonathan Carter, VP Footwear for INA.

CLI, owner of Vision Street Wear worldwide, worked in tandem with INA on the direction and scope of the product launch. "Working closely with our licensees like this insures that we have the very best product representing the true essence of the brand," said Bruce Pettet, President and CEO of Collective Licensing International. "Furthermore, we will craft a powerful, directed marketing program that supports our partners' goals and stokes our consumers' passion for Vision."
