BroForm.com, the action sports industry’s online marketplace for pro-forms, is pleased to announce the launch of the new Authorized Retailer program service. While BroForm.com already supports an authorized retailer program, this new service is a significant alternative in that it becomes the suppliers own branded program, accessed from their website, and without the regular BroForm.com site travel and branding. The program is color matched to each brand’s website and there is no comparison-shopping among other brands on BroForm.com.
The best part is that this program utilizes a member brand’s existing BroForm program with the same program management and order processing procedures and processes, effectively doubling the value of BroForm’s services to its supplier members. Co-founder and VP of Sales Adam Hostetter is stoked, “Many brands we represent generate significant retail employee traffic to their own websites. This program really addresses their desires to have their ‘own’ pro-form program that their retailers can access directly from their own website, and without the distraction of competitors programs. While shopping buyers don’t even realize they’re using BroForm.”
Retail buyers are still required to be pre-qualified for BroForm membership, which grants access to all BroForm-powered programs from brands that have in turn authorized them. With a brand “sponsor” this one-time process is painless and can be turned around within 24 hours. Alternately suppliers having the option of pre-qualifying their dealers for member accounts, allowing these dealers to skip the registration process and begin using the service immediately.
BroForm.com has also moved into new offices in Laguna Beach, gaining some elbowroom, a Brooks Street ocean view, and the opportunity to work next to new strategic partner Hub360. The Hub360 Industry Network is set to launch early this summer in the surf and skate markets, and the BroForm crew will be working closely with Hub360 to support this launch.
“Hub360 is putting together the kind of industry network, bringing together suppliers, reps and retailers in a ‘virtual tradeshow’ online environment, that many of our brands have been asking us for,” reports BroForm founder and CEO John Telfer. “We have the capability of providing this type of service on a limited scale. But a lot of time and effort went into developing the BroForm marketplace specifically to address the special requirements of pro-form and employee purchase program distribution, and we’d rather not dilute that mission. Hub360 brings a best-of-breed marketplace platform that has already been proven in large-scale sporting goods markets. We are pumped to be able to offer this service to our action sports manufacturer and retail customers. In return Hub360 supplier members will have turnkey access to BroForm’s services”.
The BroForm.com marketplace was launched in September 2000 to establish a formalized and controlled distribution channel for pro-form and employee purchase programs. The principle goals of the founders were to address the rampant abuse of these programs at the expense of retailers, while at the same time to significantly enhance the efficiency and benefits that these programs can represent for brands and industry employees alike. BroForm currently represents over 140 outdoor and action sports suppliers in the surf, skate, snowboard, ski, motocross, bmx, mountain bike, road bike, all-terrain board, wakeboard, kayak, and outdoor industries.
