Industry Brands Showcased In Telus Fashion Event

Whistler, BC – April 4, 2006 – The TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival,
renowned for developing groundbreaking events, has unveiled a new dimension
to the 2006 Festival with Fashion Exposed, a major runway production and
party on April 21 at the TELUS Whistler Conference Centre. The unique
fashion event is part of the Festival’s legendary 10-day celebration fusing
music, arts and sports from April 14-23.

Fashion Exposed will be an audio-visual window into fast-growing lifestyle
fashion movement emanating from the most innovative street, snow, surf and
skate brands. The brands selected to make their statement on the Whistler
runway include Burton, Oakley, Salomon, Nikita, Bonfire, Peak Performance,
Analog, WE, Helly Hansen, Lifetime, Quiksilver, Roxy, Matix, Sessions and
Triple 5 Soul.

“We’re excited to have fashion as part of our line up, as the brands
represented in the show have embraced a similar philosophy to that of the
Festival, since they also blend music, art and sport into their unique
styles”, said Catherine Yates, Arts and Entertainment Producer for W1.
“These brands work with artists, athletes and musicians to inspire their
lines, and make them relevant to today’s culture. Fashion Exposed will blend
the same elements during the show to bring about a completely unique visual
experience of displaying fashion.”

Fashion Exposed features multiple screens, surround-sound audioscape, DJs
and MCs. Each brand will make their own audio-visual fashion statement
revealing their styles. With such diversity in the line-up, the Whistler
audience should expect the unexpected, not to mention an epic party.

Tickets for Fashion Exposed are $15, and available online at, and for more information on this stylish night,
