Questions answered by Director of Sales, Dan Sullivan:

What are the top three developments and trends in next year's bindings?

  1. Customizable canting--with our Yes, I Cant system, now featured also on our new Mob Boss binding, riders get to pick the level of canting that fits their style.   For a lot of riders, canting is key for increasing leverage over the nose and tail (particularly on rocker boards) and for making wide stances more comfortable.
  2. Better fit from toe strap innovation--with our overmolded ConformGrip toe straps, riders get that same over-the-top of the boot fit that they loved from our ConFormist straps, but with more grip on the toe for a better fit.
  3. More natural board flex--with our V-Rod technology, found both in our UnderWrap bindings and our Unibody bindings, a narrow binding footprint lets the board flex more naturally.

Are you using any new materials?
We are using new materials in our toe straps and ankle straps for better, more comfortable fit.  Overmolded technologies in our toe straps and new temperature resistant gels in our ankle straps.

What new technologies are you introducing to your line?
We are offering our Yes, I Cant technology in our Unibody plastic bindings for the first time in 2013--in the new Mob Boss.

And we are bringing our V-Rod Unibody baseplate with Cant-in-the-Back technology to women riders via the new Runway binding.

What trends do you anticipate in the realm of graphics, themes, and colors?
As with boards, it's a matter of diversity.   We have bold colors that are tweaks off of primaries.  We have all-over graphics that tie into themes.   And we have team signature colorways that represent an individual team rider's graphic perspective.  Overall, graphics have been toned down a bit with an emphasis being put on colors and refined badging.
