The Tavik women’s team, including Women’s Creative Carly Osler Women's Sales Jenny Moreno, and PR & Marketing’s Hannah Sacks, gave us the scoop on next year’s Tavik 2015 Swimwear collection.

What trends are at the forefront of next year's swimwear line? 

We continue with the use of mesh, zippers and transparent material. New to 2015 is the use of custom hardware, additional textured fabrics and new daring silhouettes. Premium details and custom prints are the foundation of this collection.

 What is the overall state of the swimwear market (size, health, potential to grow, increase revenue, etc.) from your perspective? What changes are on the horizon?

The swimwear market continues to grow and thrive. The possibilities are endless with the idea that swim is not only for the beach but adapt from day to night and streets to the beach. The changes we expect to see are the expansion into the accessory and cover up categories. Blankets, hats, etc.

What specific pieces of youth culture, design, and/or other elements influenced your brand’s swimwear collection for next season?

At the core of the TAVIK brand is MODERN BEACH CULTURE. Inspired by the streets but with a minimalistic aesthetic. Whether GGGGGGGGGG by long days in the sand or even longer nights out, all of our products are designed and engineered with superior quality, fit and function.

 What are you seeing as far as sales around the separates category for 2014? Are you expanding this product offering in your line – why or why not?

Sales around the separates category have stayed consistently strong. As long as there is sun, we girls are going to want as little tan lines as possible! It's also fun to mix and match as well as customize your fit and style.

How important are one-pieces to your collection? Have you expanded this category or pulled back compared to the last few seasons?

Extremely important! We've expanded this category and included some statement pieces that we feel will really stand out. Being a music minded brand, it's important to us to have pieces that can be worn with a jacket, shorts and boots at a festival as well as lounging by the pool.

What changes are you seeing on the business side, as far order sizes, the length of the season, timing for product roll out, sales channels, etc.?

As we grow internationally we find the swim season is not solely our Spring and Summer anymore. Customers are asking for earlier deliveries as well as resort.

What were your greatest successes in the swimwear category for 2014?

Some of our greatest successes have been adding some new amazing retailers to our roster, as well as, growing substantially with our existing accounts. Another highlight has been the success of our cover ups which was a new category for us.

What are your sales projections for next season?

Through the roof! We have some big things in the works.

Are prices and margins increasing, decreasing, or flat? What is your brand’s average MSRP and margin percentage?

Our prices and margins are staying consistent.

Is the number of SKU's in your line expanding or contracting? Why?

Expanding. We've added more cover ups and new body styles. There's even a rumor that we will be jumping into RTW.
