Texas Skate IX Benefiting The Make-A-Wish Foundation

Each fall when the temperatures subside in sticky Houston, Texas, Damian Hebert and the good people at the Southside Skate Park throw this amazing event.

In the bowl jam, local youngster Chaz Pineda is a sight to see, he’s got Hosoi and Alva DNA in his blood. Stu Graham was the crowd favorite, but Alex Chalmers flexed his veteran tranny skills on the vert wall to win the bowl jam.

Have you noticed in the last year how Terell Robinson and Jereme Rogers have become best-trick forces to reckon with? Well, they definitely made an impression on the scene destroying the pyramid and handrail. Greg Lutzka and Rogers tied for winner of the street jam. The winners were given 5,000 dollars to donate to MAW in their name-not a bad tax write-off. Before we knew it, we were back in the rent-a-car heading for Bush International Airport with Mike Jones and the A/C blasting.-Blair Alley
