Where 2: A Family’s Guide to Skiing Canyons Resort

By Ryan Dunfee

There was a time when a ski trip meant shred to aprés to dinner to aprés dinner. Then you had kids and things, well, changed. But that doesn’t mean all the fun needs to end. Here’s a look at how to approach Canyons Resort with the ducklings in tow.

Stay:  Sundial Lodge, Silverado, Waldorf, and Grand Summit all have pools at the hotel.

When all else fails, take your kid to the park. P: Scott Markewitz/Canyons Resort

Ski/Ride: High Meadow lift is our beginner area that kids love, but for the more advanced kids check out our 6 natural half pipes and the terrain park off of Snow Canyon Express.

Eat: Murdock's Café, which is new this season.

P: Dave Newkirk/Canyons Resort

Drink: Parents can get a drink at Murdocks, or grab a beer at Umbrella Bar while watching your child play in the Resort Village on our kid-friendly features like a jungle gym and over-sized chess board (plus a great line-up of kid friendly activities throughout the season) or enjoy the outdoor seating at The Farm or Red Tail Grill while watching your child play in the snow at Ski Beach.

Down day: Check the schedule for family friendly activities in the Resort Village during your vacation, or hit up the Zip Tour with your kids!
